Tai Chi & Qigong
The tai chi classes we offer are run by the Seven Stars School of Taijiquan, one of the largest tai chi schools in Great Britain. The classes are led by Steve Hardie, a health & relaxation instructor with the school. The sessions are suitable for all.
Qigong
Steve introduces the session with qigong (pronounced chee gong) exercises, a holistic system of self healing exercises and meditation. It is an ancient practice that includes posture, movement, self massage, breathing techniques and meditation.
This practice is very beneficial to all age groups and physical conditions.
Tai Chi
The session continues with the practice of tai chi, a way of life that has been practiced by the Chinese for thousands of years. The nature of tai chi is one of physically co-ordinated exercises in a sequence of flowing controlled movements put together to improve health and vitality.
It is a method for developing health and relaxation and can be a good means for dealing with the stresses and strains of every day life.
